Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A7640

·         An excellent laptop for playing older titles from the late '90s or early '00s.

·         Ideal for 3D DOS games (excellent SoundBlaster emulation and General Midi)

·         Dual boot Windows 9x (choice between 98SE or ME)/Windows XP Home Edition.

·         Damaged right hinge, but hardware fully functional. The screen is securely supported by the left hinge.

 

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V7010

·         A big and sturdy machine more capable than the A7640.

·         Ideal for late '90s-early '00s Windows games.

·         Dual boot Windows 9x (choice between 98SE or ME)/Windows NT (2000 or XP Professional).

·         Some DOS games run perfectly fine, but has a smaller compatibility list compared to the A7640.

 

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M1425

·         Fully refurbished, with minimal signs of wear.

·         Good choice for light retrogaming (see below).

·         Dual boot Windows 9x (choice between 98SE or ME)/Windows NT (2000 or XP Home Edition).

·         Graphics chip struggles to render complex 2D graphics for some unknown reason – please keep that in mind if you decide to purchase it!

·         Connecting a USB device while Windows 9x is running crashes the system. This is a chipset problem which also appears in other M1425 models. If you want to use a mouse or a game controller, plug it in before booting into Windows 9x!

 

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M7424 "Black Jack"

·         "Black Jack" doesn't look the prettiest, but packs a punch: its Mobility Radeon 9500 is capable of running almost any game from the late '90s to the mid '00s.

·         Dual boot Windows 9x (choice between 98SE or ME)/Windows NT (2000 or XP Home Edition).

·         Brought back to life by combining several scrap parts of Amilo laptops:

o   Chassis is from an Amilo M1425

o   Motherboard taken from an Amilo M7424

o   New CD drive

·         Video port on the motherboard is faulty – you need to supply your own monitor (you only need a VGA cable and, preferably, a 4:3 screen) and speakers/headset.

All laptops have been cleaned both internally and externally, and new thermal paste has been applied to the processor.
