CM je zapustil justbiglee's . Karizmatičen,prikupen,šaljiv in še bi lahko našteval. Malce ga bom pogrešal,ker je znal na svojevrsten način popestrit konec tedna z objavo v temi Dirt Rally Road Book,ki je vsebovala podatke o prihajajočih popravkih,spremembah in vse kar zajema delo ekipe,ki se ukvarja z Dirt Rally igro.

Lee has been an integral part of our team ever since he joined us on DiRT. From keeping the DiRTy Gossipers guessing, to running huge surveys to find out if the ideas we were thinking about implementing were the kind of thing you guys were interested in. He was an essential part of the prototype phase and gave us the confidence to believe in our convictions.

It was his crazy idea to launch DiRT Rally into Steam Early Access with no warning and while we all knew it was risky we were happy to do it because it just made so much sense. Since launch he has been the one chasing us with all of your ideas and wishes and has been integral to making our first attempt at Early Access run as smoothly as it has.

If you haven’t already heard today is my last day at Codemasters, it’s been an emotional three years that’s for sure but its these last 128 days that have been the most amazing.

I’ve had the honour of working with some incredibly talented and passionate people over the last few years, like anywhere we’ve had some lows and really tough challenges to overcome but when it was good it’s been really good.

I’ll be honest running an Early Access game scared the absolute crap out of me, I had no idea what to expect, how to handle it personally, if the company could handle it and I had my reservations... But at the same time it really excited me. You know what? I’d go as far as to say I’ve been spoilt by it. It’s been a Community Managers dream and on the off chance there are any other developers out there (both big and small) reading this, I can’t recommend it enough. I honestly don’t believe there is a better way to make a game.

When we set out to do this I didn’t want to do the traditional “Look at our announcement”, “sorry we can’t talk about that yet”, “here’s some previews”, “have a trailer” before finishing on “and it’s out now”. I wanted to do something different that put me (and the company) outside of my comfort zone, so I hatched this plan to release the game at the same time we announced it. People thought I was mental! But I knew it was the right thing to do, I’d been teasing the DiRT fans for the last two years, from sneaky photos of peoples monitors to the now infamous “4” tweet (I got in so much trouble that day lol). Credit where it is due to the product managers and bosses of Codies (who did think I was mental) but supported me and helped it happen all the same.

Then of course there is the whole of the dev team, this amazing, talented bunch of people really went out of their way to welcome me into the fold. Some of the team worked here on the original Colin McRae Rally games! Then of course there is our illustrious leader Paul Coleman, I’m sure you all know him by now but for those who don’t Paul is DiRT Rally’s Chief Game Designer (and the voice of your in-game co-driver). Paul is the one who takes the feedback I pass on to him and runs with it, he’s changed the way we work as a studio to fit in around your needs. I’ve learnt a great deal about how games are made from Paul and he’s become a great friend... But I won’t continue to blow smoke up his ass for too much longer. DiRT is bigger than any one of us and it took a lot of people to even get it to the start line. 

Then you come in. I want to thank you guys, the DiRT community. You’ve helped us build what I honestly believe is one of the best racing games out there and the Steam User Reviews don’t lie. When I say that you’ve helped us build DiRT Rally I can put my hand on my heart and say that is the truth, you’ve pushed us to be better game developers, challenged us when we were wrong, and thought of stuff we hadn’t even considered.

DiRT Rally is already going to be better than we thought it could be and that’s down to you just as much as it is to us. I know DiRT Rally isn’t going to be the biggest selling racing game the world has ever seen, but you know what? I’m damn sure it’s one of the best, I honestly believe that and I know it will haunt the comment sections about other off road racing games for years to come – It already does!

Like the original Colin McRae Rally games its inspired people to become real world rally drivers and its already being used by various organisations to train people to become better rally drivers around the world. That’s DiRT Rally’s legacy and you all played a part in that.

I’m gonna go find a nice spot to spectate now, help these guys get though the last few sectors in one piece will you?

Nekaj sm brskal po netu glede Dirt rallya in našel info, da so vse proge tudi resnične Glede na današnjo tehnologijo in dostopnost podatkov (lidar posnetki terena) je to sicer logično in neprimer

Additions
PVP - Session Visibility - When setting up an Online Custom Championship there is now an option to make the lobbies closed so only players who were either invited or on your friends list can join.
PVP – Race collisions can now be turned off when creating a custom lobby.
PVP - In a lobby, the user can now specify who they would like to communicate with via the Voice Channel option IE Everyone, Friends or no one.
Audio Options - There is now an option to set the chat receive volume.
Audio Options – Voice Chat can now be turned on or Off.
Controls – Users now have the option to enable Push To Talk for voice chat.

Fixes
HUD Fix – Rear view mirror in Rallycross is now correctly placed when using either internal camera.
Game Fix – Tooltip to repair a puncture now functions correctly.
PVP Fix – Players who jump start when in the staggered grid position can no longer collide with other users.
Save Fix – Fix for the game not saving when the player has entered 6 leagues.

dirtgame.com page je down, kar mocno smrdi po tem da bomo danes (oz. kmalu) ugledali vecji patch, ki bo prinesel poleg novih prog na Finskem tudi nekaj popravkov na FFB za dolocene dirkalnike. Kot je prebrati, naj bi se za te klase avtomobilov (60s, 70s, 80s RWD, and 2010s) v roku dneva ali dveh po patchu pobrisal tudi leaderboard, kar pomeni da bomo spet na novo priganjali dirkalnike za kaksno spodobno uvrstitev. Prebrati je tudi, da naj bi se pojavila nova dirkalnika Ford Focus 2001 in Subaru Impreza 2001, Ce ima kdo ze kaksen info glede velikosti patcha in ali je ze online naj prosim javi.

Ponavadi pride patch okoli treh ce se ne motim. Ob stirih je stream. po prebranem bo ffb zdej slabše občuten če sem prav prebral (na teh avtih ki dobijo v2 fiziko).

jep V2 bo baje na asfaltu rezultiral manj downforce obcutka, zato bo volan lazji...vsekakor bo kar nekaj stvari, ki jih bo treba preverit ;)

It’s time for version 0.8 and we are returning to our rally roots with the mighty Flying Finland pack. We’ve added 12 new stages from Finland, the world’s fastest rally and two iconic cars driven by our local heroes from one of the greatest battles in rally championship history. 

Add to this a new game mode and loads of fixes and features and this pack is almost as big as those Finnish jumps and crests.

Oh, and did we mention mouse support for the menus? You did want that right...?

So here is what’s new:

  • 12 new rally stages near Jämsä, Finland
  • All new 2000s vehicle class
  • 2 new cars - Subaru Impreza 2001 and Ford Focus RS Rally 2001
  • Custom Championships – You can now tweak the number of events, stages and AI difficulty. This will mean that you can set up an event that suits the amount of time you have available and get rewarded accordingly.
  • Mouse Support! – Yep you asked for it so here it is. It’s still a work in progress so please give us your feedback on how we can improve it.
  • We’ve reworked the handling on our 60s, 70s, 80s RWD and 2010s classes – these changes have seen improvements to the way we model suspension and tyres, along with engine and aero rework they really make the cars feel a lot more dynamic to drive.
  • We’ve updated the engine audio for the 1995 Subaru Impreza in the Group A class. We’d like to say a massive thank you to Ryan Champion for letting us use his awesome car for the recording!
  • We’ve wrapped our replays so you can rewind from the start of a replay to watch the final section of your run much faster than you could before.
  • We’ve added a new ‘Invite Friends’ option in the lobby to make it easier for you to get the people you want into your PVP races.

Here’s what we’ve fixed:

  • The audio FX levels for the surfaces and kick up have been brought back so that you can hear all that gravely goodness.
  • We sent our Rallycross AI drivers to the opticians so that they can now see when they need to avoid other cars when they are approaching the joker entrance.
  • Now that they can see better they are also setting faster laps.
  • We’ve fixed the camera clipping in certain camera angles when you changed the Field of View.
  • We’ve made some Hyper threading fixes that should now prevent those annoying stuttering issues that some of you were having.
  • We’ve stopped the Engineer contract lengths and costs from being affected when competing in league events.
  • Toggling Push to Talk or enabling/disabling voice communications through the pause menu is now actually working.
  • The Reset Timer has now been increased to 15 seconds when attempting to get back on track. I know we said that before but this time it is actually in.
  • Cars will no longer roll over on the start in PVP races, ROFL.
  • We’ve made sure that the cars are visible on the start line even when collisions are turned off in PVP – they will still ghost during the race though.
  • Your PVP opponents won’t be showboating and driving around with the handbrake on anymore.
  • The gear setup will no longer be changing between stages without a service area.
  • We’ve fixed those odd camera angles that were being used in spectate mode. 
  • The miles driven using owned vehicles in PVP now accrue towards unlocking upgrades for that vehicle.
  • When viewing a replay using an interior camera, the speedometers now show the correct speed for all vehicles.
  • We’ve fixed a whole host of other stuff too but they were too boring to call out in this list.

zakaj pa nebi enkrat rajs samo eno klaso (mogoce celo avto) pa to neki takega, kar ima vecina ali pa ni problem kupit...saj bo vseeno zabavno pa se konkuranca bo (recimo 70" ali pa A). Zdej pa 4 razlicne klase pa samo 10 igralcev... pol ni nekega merila in vzhicenja  ce sem lahko odkrit. Sploh ce ni prvenstvo bi sli lahko kdaj kaj takega, da imamo vsi eno kisto pa gasa...pol se pa jebckamo s setupi in progo.
